The Allen Company, Inc. was formed in 1939, and has worked in Central Kentucky for over 65 years. The business operations are made up of asphalt paving, grade and drain projects, and concrete work. In addition to construction jobs, the Allen Company, Inc. also operates quarries in Madison, Jackson and Jessamine counties, KY and asphalt plants in Boonesboro, Danville, Berea, Lancaster and Lexington, KY.
The Allen Company services Clark, Fayette, Woodford, Jessamine, Garrard, Lincoln, Boyle, Jackson and Madison counties. We have offices and shops in Lexington, Winchester, Danville, and Richmond as well as quarries at Boonesboro, Clover Bottom and Nicholasville. Our blacktop plants are in Danville, Berea, Nicholasville, Lancaster and Boonesboro.
The Allen Company operates three limestone quarries in Central Kentucky. The first, Boonesboro Quarry, opened in 1939, provides a variety of limestone rock to customers in Clark and Madison County. The second, Lexington Quarry, opened in 1966 and provides limestone rock to customers in Jessamine, Fayette, and Woodford County. The third, Clover Bottom Quarry, acquired in 2004, provides limestone rock to customers in Jackson, Madison and Rockcastle county. In addition to providing limestone, the quarries are also essential to the five asphalt plants that are operated by the Allen Company in Boonesboro, Lexington, Berea, Lancaster and Danville Kentucky.
